  1. Biryani

The main ingredients are rice, Onion, Tomatoes, Ginger, Garlic, Curry Leaves, Tamarind, Black Cardamom, Cumin, Red Chili, Salt, Shan Masalas, dry aloo bukhara, Chicken, curd, and Green Chili. Subsequently, some people use potatoes in it. Henceforth, it can be prepared using various methods. Basically, these are the dishes of South Asia.

  1. Kebab

    Kebab is the famous dish of Pakistan. We can eat in the Breakfast, Lunch, and, in the dinner.

It is often eaten in Pakistan. It is available at cafés and restaurants, but it can be easily made at Home. In particular, there are different methods of making it well. It depends on the chef. People use it as a snack and serve it at lunch and dinner. In general, meat and potatoes are the main ingredients in various cuisines.

  1. Karahi

    Karahi is the famous dish of Pakistan. It is also known as gosht Karahi.

    Furthermore, it is also a famous dish in Pakistan. The chicken, sheep, and goat meat could be used. Additionally, the tomato base is applied, followed by ginger and chili pepper, and the recipe varies. We gave the name gosht Karahi when the meat of Mutton is used. Eventually, you should try this Dish. Furthermore, there are three ways to serve it: either with

    1. roti,
    2. naan
    3. rice
    1. With the fine cutting of ginger
    2. Fried potatoes
    3. Refine the cutting of green chili
    4. Fried Onion with small cuts

      Nihari

      Nihari is usually prefer to eat in the morning.

      Let’s first talk about its name Nihari is originated from the word Nihar which means morning. Correspondingly, it is usually consumed in the morning. Meanwhile, it is a slowly cooked dish (6-8 hours approximately), so you need patience to enjoy this tasty food. Although the following kinds of meat are used

      1. Beef
      2. Mutton
      3. Lamb

      The following are the essential cuisines that are required for the preparation of Nihari

      1. Cumin
      2. Cloves
      • Garam Masala
      1. Cardamom

      Afterward, the vital thing to remember is to seal the cooking vessel with dough.

      How to serve Nihari?

    5. Saag

    This is the dish usually found in Punjab and, in the winter Season.

This dish is usually found in Punjab, especially in the winter Season. Thus, People store it in the Freezer for later use, but the exciting thing is that People gift the Saag.

There are 3 types of Saag

  • Saag of Gram
  • Saag of Mustard
  • Saag of Jamaa

Saag of Gram

It could be used in 2 ways

  1. Either by cooking

People prefer to cook and enjoy Saag with paneer. It can be used for Breakfast, lunch, or dinner.

  1. Without Cooking

Meanwhile, I like to eat Saag by simply plucking the upper parts and enjoying it with a mixture of salt and red chili.

Saag of Mustard

Mustard Saag, also known as Sarson ka Saag, is a culinary delight and a health powerhouse. Indeed, it is commonly used in cooking and is a popular choice for Breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Moreover, when the mustard plant ripens, its seeds are used to make oil, adding another dimension to its health Benefits.

Saag of Jamaa

You can only cook it to use it. In fact, it cannot be eaten without cooking. Its flowers are yellow.

6. Sajji

Sajji is one of the famous dish of Pakistan. This is a Dish of the Province of Baluchistan.

Sajji, a dish from the Province of Baluchistan, is not just a meal, but a communal experience. Unlike the typical small cutting pieces of meat, Sajji is a large roasted lamb or chicken, often prepared and enjoyed by the whole family. However, what makes Sajji unique is its preparation; the meat is skewered and roasted over an open fire, giving it a distinct smoky flavor. Consequently, on special occasions, the community comes together to savor the crispy Sajji, which is often enhanced with a squeeze of lemon juice for a hint of bitterness.

Hence, the following cuisines are used while making Sajji

  1. Carom Seeds
  2. also Cardamom Powder
  3. Cumin Seeds
  4. Lemon Juice
  5. Coriander Seeds
  6. Green chili
  7. Salt
  8. Black Pepper
  9. Garlic
  10. Ginger

This Blog is a celebration of the 6 iconic foods of Pakistan: Biryani, Kebab, Karahi, Nihari, Saag, and Sajji. But the feast doesn’t stop here. The four provinces of Pakistan stand out with their distinct clothing, cuisine, and even the methods of celebration, offering a culinary landscape waiting to be explored.
