Celebrations of events in our Country rely on the relatives who organize these occasions according to the customs of Pakistan.The celebration means enjoyment when someone is happy from the heart. Events are numerous and celebrated with the heart. We organize events to celebrate small achievements. Celebration of an event is valuable because it becomes the memory of life. These events are the excuses for family gatherings. But its original theme is fading now. Peoples try to show off their wealth.
Celebrations of events
The celebration varies some give a party at a hotel. While the other peoples distribute sweets. Some organize a party to celebrate happiness. With time things are changing. The culture is taking its new shape. The people’s behavior is molding towards materialistic approach.
Birth
On the birth of newborn babies, the family celebrates by doing religious rituals. They consider the odd number of days of the week, they cut the hair of the baby. After 40 days of birth, a bath is given to a baby. The grandparents bring things for the baby and for the family.The celebration depends on the birth of a baby girl or baby boy. The siblings go to the baby’s house to eat dry fruit with singing folk songs.
Wedding
The most beautiful event of a person’s life is wedding. Once upon a time, it was the grand occasion. The relative came to the house of marriage live for a week or more to help the family. They did Dholki at home. Then show the dowry in to their locality or Mohalla. Next day Mehndi the day after tomorrow Barat held. After Barat Waleema and then muklawa.
This was a trend but now the mode of celebration is changed. The functions are held in Marki hall and Hotels. The trend of clothes is changing day by day. We are following the Western style instead of our cultural dresses. The function is concise in to two days. Relatives come in function like other people there is no distinction between them. All are treated equally. In a limited time marriages are wind-up. Everyone is busy in their life.
Death
The most painful thing for the family is to face the death . The people sat on Earth. They recite the Qalam-e-Pak for 40 days. The relatives made food for them at their houses. The relatives gave clothes to the close ones of deceased person. Like other events, death becomes an event. The chairs and tables are arranged at the home where the dead body is placed. The cycle of life is complete in the blink of an eye.
Conclusion
Now peoples are busy while doing their tasks. According to my point of view, we are looking busy but doing nothing. We are busy but not productive.The small achievement gives happier moments of life. Milestone helps to enjoy the occasions. We try to shrink all gatherings and want to compose ourselves.
The jerks of life are not avoidable we have to move forward because the path of life is unidirectional. The little happier things are the source of excitement.Celebration of an event helps to bring smiles to everyone’s faces. Birth, marriage, and death are the things that happen once in a lifetime. The first two are the main events which give shine in to the eyes.
