How does Language Shape Thought and the Way We Think? People want to say something else, and by using the wrong words, they misunderstand. Language is necessary to explain thoughts. There are various kinds of languages, but the person who understands the unspoken words is amazing. Humanity makes the person a good human.

Language Shapes Thought & the Way We Think

The selection of words is important because sometimes you cannot express your thinking or thoughts. The expression of words in a polite manner is necessary. If every time someone thinks negatively, then how is it possible to speak something better? The men with positive thinking reflect good behavior.

The Value of Language

Language is essential for expressing the ideas running through the mind. You can give the ideas in the form of words. Language is necessary from various perspectives.

  • For communication

Functions of languages

There are three Functions of language

  • To give information
  • To tell feelings
  • To give the command to someone

Kind of languages

  • Written and oral
  • Intentions of the words
  • Words that contain any meaning

Language Explores Your Morals

When you open your mouth, you represent how many values you have. Do you know how to talk with people without hurting them? Are you respectful according to their occupation? Your way of talking during communication is proof of your personality. Sometimes, a person with a good personality does not know how to deal with people.

Can We Think Without Language?

According to linguistics, language is essential for thinking. The words stored in our brains as vocabulary are used in the process of thinking. Thinking is dependent on language. If you are exposed to a variety of words, then you can expand your thinking.

How does Language Shape Thought and the Way We Think? We do not realize the effects of someone’s company on our lives until we feel the change. We change our attitude, usually copying the words of close ones. I also use the words that my friends use in their languages.

Unconsciously, we are influenced by our self-made circles. However, when we observe, we come to know about the changes that become part of our nature.
