I asked two married females about their in-laws, and they shared their experiences.

The people act like they admire you on your face, but when you move away from the place, they start talking behind you.
Second Female
She said that your mother-in-law says you can sleep because you are tired. But when someone from outside comes to their home, she said, she always takes a rest. She did not do the work at home on time; look at the work; it is still undone. They speak well about yourself, but behind you, they do backbiting. They tell you one thing but do the opposite of it. They criticize your dressing style and appearance.
Gossips
People tell you about the gossip, which in-laws did, but when you ask them, they deny it. I want to add an example of a girl who told me that her in-laws asked her to sell her gold. Unfortunately, she was disturbed. Because of this pressure, her parents gave her gold with a heart. This act was next to impossible for her.
In most cases, the treatment of in-laws with the girl before marriage is different. But when she goes to their house, their behavior gets changed. Meanwhile, in marriage, they give gold, but after marriage, they bring it back to fulfill their needs. The people will provide you with applause for the gold, but when you are alone, bring it back.
Behavior
Their behavior with their daughter-in-law is polite and adorable in front of people, but when they are alone, they show their genuine attitude. If a girl does the work as she wants or it is against the consent of her in-laws, then they say we are just looking at her acts and moving with her.
